NCAA to NFL: What Does It Take?

Lesson: NCAA to NFL

Drew Brees and Payton Manning...What set them apart in their pursuit to become NFL Quarterback?
Talent, but also hours studying the plays, time practicing and giving it all they had. They had to stand out to get their seat in the NFL.
Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Luke 13:22-27 Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?"
He said to them, "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.'
"But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.'
"Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.'
"But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!'

If you are comparing yourself to everyone else and think you are as good as the next person, realize that being in the majority is not necessarily a good thing. It means you are lost.
Why is it that only a few are finding? Because few are truly seeking. Jesus says we must make every effort and God says we'll find him when we seek him with all of our hearts in Jeremiah 29:13
How will you seek God with all you heart?
A great opportunity to know more about God and seek him more deeply is to get help from others. Ask the person who invited you about a personal Bible study.
